Yoga Sculpt at CorePower Yoga

It's been 10 years since I last taught Yoga Sculpt at CorePower on Grant and since I've been away, a lot has changed.

Based on what I have been told by friends and students of current-day yoga sculpt is that yoga sculpt has turned into more of a boot camp class, which is awesome, but when I was at CPY I always fought for yoga sculpt to stay yoga.

I am old-school, and I am excited to bring old-school yoga sculpt back to the studio!

Here is how I think of yoga sculpt -- It's yoga with weights to make you better at yoga!

The (old school) yoga sculpt workout is based on the 5 components of physical fitness:

  1. -Cardiovascular Endurance

  2. -Muscular Strength

  3. -Muscular Endurance

  4. -Flexibility

  5. -Body Composition

When it started, we (at CorePower) added weights to yoga (the first to do it) to hit all 5 components of physical fitness in one class!!

Yoga Sculpt made yogis strong and it made the gym-goers flexible!

It was the best of the best, and I loved it!

I'll be teaching Yoga Sculpt at CPY Central Park every Saturday at 10am for the next 3 months starting this weekend!
